Dr. Zeeshan S. Husain, DPM, FACFAS, FASPS

Dr. Zeeshan Husain, DPM, FACFAS, FASPS, is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon at Great Lakes Foot and Ankle Institute, caring for patients at the Rochester and Shelby Township offices in Michigan. He specializes in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, trauma, sports medicine, and diabetic limb salvage and wound care.

Dr. Husain earned a bachelor’s degree in Biology from MIT and a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a three-year surgical residency at Beaumont Hospital in Wayne, Michigan, where he served as Chief Resident, and pursued additional advanced training, including coursework in Verona, Italy.

He is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons. Dr. Husain currently serves as Program Director of the McLaren Oakland Hospital Podiatric Residency and is the President of the ACFAS Great Lakes Region (2024–2027). He is the former President of the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association (2022–2024).

An active educator and contributor to the field, Dr. Husain lectures nationally and has authored peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters. He is also a Section Editor for the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery and serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Critical Limb Ischemia.
