Dr. Howard A. Stone, DPM, FACFAS, is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He specializes in reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, pediatrics, and complex revisional surgery following previous unsuccessful procedures.
Dr. Stone holds Faculty appointments at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in the Department of Family Medicine, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science, Lecturer & Radiology Capstone Site Director, and the University of Chicago (Endeavor/NorthShore), Podiatric Medicine & Surgery Residency with Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery, Site Director, Residency Education Committee Member, and Residency Selection Committee Member.
Dr. Stone is an attending physician with NorthShore University Health System, Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, and the Illinois Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery Center. He attended the University of California at San Diego and received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his surgical training at the prestigious Highlands Presbyterian/St. Luke’s (PSL) residency in Denver, CO.
Dr. Stone is committed to personalized, technology-driven care and has authored multiple publications in foot and ankle surgery. Outside of his practice, he enjoys golf, travel, and time with his family.
